The Beat of The Street is a non-stop musical production featuring over 50 artists, including a live band and the vocal harmony sounds of a gospel choir. Performances will include some of the all-time greatest Motown, R&B and Soul Classics.

This finger snappin’, foot stompin’, hand clappin’ extravaganza will benefit women’s health services at the Jewish General Hospital’s Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Gyn-Oncology.


JOHANNE STERNTHAL - PRODUCER, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & CONCEPT


Johanne is an acclaimed theatrical producer, author and philanthropist with a passion for the arts and fashion. She has created musicals, and written and choreographed numerous fashion shows for events in the greater Montreal area raising millions of dollars for so many worthwhile causes including A Night at the Apollo. In 2014, she received an honourary doctorate from Israel’s Bar-Ilan University for outstanding charitable contributions.

CURTIS PATTERSON - PRODUCTION MANAGER

Curtis Patterson is President and founder of Entertainment Central based in Montreal, Quebec, an entertainment company which represents various production shows and artists for international performances in casinos, theatres, festivals, 5-star hotels and corporate markets throughout Southeast Asia, Morocco, the Middle East and North America. The company takes pride in obtaining first class talent from all over the world for the various clients it represents.

Entertainment Central has established business relationships with major U.S. talent agencies and management companies and has been approached to book recording artists and musicals shows such as Lady Gaga, Lionel Richie, Madonna, Jersey Boys, Earth, Wind & Fire, Hairspray, Boyz II Men, EnVogue, Snoop Dogg, Tap Dogs and Harry Connick Jr. among others.

Born and raised in Buffalo, New York and now living in Montreal, Patterson started off in the entertainment business as a drummer touring the world working alongside artists like Kool & The Gang, The Commodores, Chris De Burg, Celine Dion, The Isley Brothers, The Ojays, Parliament Funkadelic and Eddie Kendrick (Temptations). As a recording artist, he was a member of the band “Sabata” signed to Arista Record.

While touring Hong Kong in 1992, Curtis was approached by Da Silva’s Mannequin LTD, one of the country’s premiere modeling and talent agencies and was offered the position to open and spearhead their first North American office to source live entertainment for the Asian market.

After a few years with the company, Curtis opened Entertainment Central in 1996 and has since developed an international reputation for delivering quality entertainment and service.
